The small river Schwarzach has cut deep into the Burgsandstein between the Schwarzenbruck district of Gsteinach and the bridge canal of the Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal.

A wonderful hike, but unfortunately the gorge is still closed. It's a shame nothing has been done about it yet, as it's been closed for many years... Otherwise, highly recommended.

I often come here with my dog; it's definitely one of my favorite places, especially in the hot summer months. It's nice and cool, there's always a place for the dog to drink, and the scenery is breathtaking.

Beautiful rock formations and caves. Plenty to discover for both two-legged and four-legged friends. In many places, you can dive right into the water or explore the many small caves. A very worthwhile route.

Beer garden with a wonderful location directly on the towpath. Not far away is the berth of the canal boat Elfriede.
