Finally – the ramp for slow-moving traffic is currently under construction. From the end of 2026, the steep ramp next to the stairs and the artwork by Richard Serra will finally be accessible.

Super viaduct, great view

Stupid climb to the bridge...but great view!

There is a great, bilingual book about the creation of the Schiffenen reservoir, over which the viaduct runs, with many pictures of the time before the Saane was dammed. It also has portraits of contemporary witnesses who had roots in the Saane valley. The book was published in 2012 by the O.S.K.A.R. association. Beautiful path on foot or by bike

From here one of the best views of the Poya Bridge.

The Poya Bridge is recognizable from many places in and around Freiburg by its striking, towering span structures (see photos from other locations). From this spot, you can look to the northwest from the side directly at the bridge stretching over the Saane.

The path between the large railway viaduct and the castle in Balliswil leads through a beautiful, old avenue.
