塔は4月から10月（イースター）まで無休で営業しています。入場は無料です。歩行に障害のある方や高所恐怖症の方は、塔を避けることをお勧めします。昇り降りの階段は1つしかありません。塔の内部の階段でのすれ違いは少し難しいです。外階段は約45段、内階段は約65段あります。高さ30メートルの塔の頂上からの眺めは格別です。塔のふもとには、いくつかのベンチとテーブルがある広々とした牧草地があり、くつろぐことができます。ここには、祭りなどの文化イベントが常に開催されています。（教会を除く）塔の隣には、他に訪れる価値のある建物はありません。

美しい区間です。私にとっては中程度のハイライトです。

There is a great, bilingual book about the creation of the Schiffenen reservoir, over which the viaduct runs, with many pictures of the time before the Saane was dammed. It also has portraits of contemporary witnesses who had roots in the Saane valley. The book was published in 2012 by the O.S.K.A.R. association. In Freiburg, seven sections of the city wall, six towers, five gates and a bulwark can be visited. The Bürglentor with the adjacent remains of the city wall with battlement forms a well-preserved and interesting part of the old city fortifications. Climbing the tower is also worthwhile because the tower offers fantastic views of the old town of Freiburg on the bend of the Saane. There are also views of the Poya Bridge in the background and the nearby Zähringer Bridge. Finally, you can look down on the Lorette Chapel near the gate.
