I was there about three weeks ago, it has a magic all of its own! The hike is worth it - I made a little film about it for anyone who is interested - with a bit of history;) When I was there, water was running down in the cellar... afterwards I was in an air raid shelter nearby. Former orphanage of the Lenoir Foundation, later used as transitional housing for emigrants and resettlers. The buildings had been empty since 2000 and were more or less left to decay. Now privately owned: The buildings have been purchased and the buyer would like to renovate the properties in the following years and convert and design them into a residential complex for people aged 50+.
