A short or long visit to Idstein is always worthwhile. It has a special flair with its pleasant pedestrian zone around the castle district and the half-timbered houses. And then a visit to the old fire brigade brewery to quench your thirst. One can fall in love with this small town.

One of the more recent attractions in Wiesbaden is the classicist Jagdschloss Platte, built on a plateau north of Wiesbaden. It was commissioned by Duke Wilhelm I of Nassau in 1823. After it fell victim to World War II, it was partially rebuilt in the late 1980s and today serves as an event venue. Very worthwhile destination for a bike tour - a beautiful old town full of half-timbered houses, nice cafes and restaurants and a castle park for the break.
