The castle park was purchased by the municipality and laid out in its current form between 1982 and 1988.

In the heart of Gemmingen, between the castle courtyard and Wiesenstrasse, is the old stately castle park, which was acquired and renovated by the municipality of Gemmingen in the 1980s. The idea behind it was English gardening. The center of the site today is the castle park pond, which is fed by its own spring, the Murrbach, and mainly by an old pipe from the Losterbach spring. Adjacent to the northern bank is an octagonal wooden pavilion. There are various events, concerts, children's performances and also an open-air cinema. Every two years, the park festival takes place across the entire area, organized by Gemmingen and Stebbach clubs. Not far from the pavilion, on the edge of the path, you will come across a bronze group, the Gänseliesel. It was donated by a Gemmingen citizen. The Grafenburg in Lauffen am Neckar is a residential castle from the early 11th century. It is located on an island in the Neckar and was built by the Counts of Lauffen. Currently (April 2023) the keep cannot be climbed due to dilapidation.

Beautiful castle complex, privately owned and can only be visited when the restaurant is open! The tower is currently (June 22) permanently closed, the structure of the tower is probably no longer in good condition! Due to two groups (one in the morning and one at lunchtime) it was unfortunately not possible to visit the restaurant (lack of staff)

Very nice park with a lake and benches and a pavilion. The bike path leads right through it.

As of March 2022, the Ravensburg is no longer accessible to the general public. In the past, you could visit the entire complex, climb the tower and have a drink in the beer garden or in the restaurant - this is currently not possible. You can only get to the site with a reservation. We have been brusquely turned away several times and will now leave our money with other innkeepers. So you should not plan the castle as an attraction and place to stop for refreshments!
