The fountain is part of the Margravial Opera House World Heritage Site. All natural stone components of the approximately 100 m² fountain basin are made of solid shell limestone; a four-part group of figures in the center of the fountain contains the fountain mechanism.

A beautiful art fountain from 1910, opposite the opera house, stately and beautiful to look at, built in honor of the Wittelsbach dynasty.

There are a few benches at the Wittelsbach Fountain, and you can also sit on the edge of the fountain and take a break and enjoy the view. The opera house is across the street. 😁
