The Kurt-van-der-Burg Bridge connects Dietkirchen with the opposite bank of the Lahn River and is an important crossing for pedestrians and cyclists. It offers a beautiful view of the Basilica of St. Lubentius, which sits majestically on the rock above the Lahn.

The lock and the Kirschhofen double weir were built in an area where the Lahn was particularly difficult to navigate in the past due to its gradient.

The marble bridge was built at the end of the 19th century. Around 100 years later, the bridge was enriched with a statue of Saint Nepomuk.

Runkel is located in the Lahn valley between the Westerwald and Taunus. Runkel was first mentioned in a document in 1259. Runkel Castle is outstanding. A knight of Charlemagne is said to have decided to build a castle in 787. The castle was built to secure the Lahn crossing and has been expanded several times.

The Runkel Lahn Bridge is a bridge built in 1448 over the Lahn in Runkel in the Limburg-Weilburg district of Hesse. Above the bridge is Runkel Castle, and Schadeck Castle is also close to the bridge. The bridge has only had local traffic significance since a new bridge was built downstream from the Lahn in 1978. The Lahn Bridge has four segment arches. The clear width of the arches, viewed from the right in the picture, is 13.80 meters, 15.51 meters, 15.91 meters and 14.69 meters.
