A beautiful, clear lake with a water temperature of 18-24 degrees Celsius in summer. The water is of drinking quality. The lake has a diverse selection of fish.

This small lake feeds the Zartenbach and lies between Hinterzarten and Feldsee. It is located in the Eschengrund nature reserve and is fortunately only accessible on foot.

Unfortunately, the path on the west and south sides often runs along the road and is also used by bicycle (e-bike) riders, some of whom drive very quickly. Lots of cars and motorcycles on the road, and you also have to walk through campsites. The path on the other side of the lake (east side) is nice and in a few places you can also go to the shore of the lake. In general, Lake Titisee is very crowded, at least on weekends. It was quite annoying at times. We recommend visiting on weekdays.
