A great photo opportunity in the Ravenna Gorge, the journey is worth it!

Path and climb along the Ravenna that require a bit of sure-footedness. Just beautiful.

The Black Forest is known for its abundance of waterfalls. The reason for this lies in the large differences in altitude over a short distance, which applies in particular to the topographical situation in the Simonswald valley. In the 300-700 meter sloping western side of the valley, the strong Ice Age glaciations have created cirque walls. The neighboring streams Hirschbach and Zweribach, coming from gently undulating hanging valleys, plunge down into the largest of these cirques, more than 300 meters deep, with several waterfalls, of which only the Zweribach waterfalls are known nationwide. The cirque is protected as a protective forest and as a Zweribach nature reserve.

Impressive gorge that is especially good for hiking in summer, as there is always a pleasant coolness there. Not recommended in the winter months due to snow and black ice.

A gorge worth seeing through which the wild Ravenna brook paves its way over many cascades and waterfalls. The two largest are the big Ravenna-Fall with 16 meters and the small Ravenna-Fall with 6 meters.

Wild and romantic gorge, thanks in large part to its status as part of the protected forest.

Impressive falls, especially after a lot of rain, of course. When it is wet, however, be careful when stepping on roots or stones: Danger of slipping!
