A beautiful area. The hike to the Bismarktturm

From the castle, you have a stunning view over the Rhine Valley to the Odenwald. The village has many excellent restaurants, offering everything from home-style cooking to Michelin-starred cuisine.

A beautiful spot with a bench for a break; views of cow pastures, shady in summer; trees all around decorated with butterflies made by the village children.

Even with the new staff, the atmosphere is nice, very cozy, and the staff is friendly. Nice outdoor area. Good food. :-)

Some parts of the original castle are still preserved, and new ones have been added. The castle is used as a youth hostel. There is also a place to stop for refreshments.

Altleiningen Castle with outdoor pool and large lawn. Great kiosk with lots of food and drinks. The castle itself has a great youth hostel and a restaurant with a cozy roof terrace with a beautiful view over the Palatinate Forest. A great insider tip for families. Countless hiking trails start from here.
