I rode the Eistal cycling and hiking trail from Asselheim to Eiswoog and back today. The one-way route is almost 20 km. From Asselheim to Eisenberg, it mostly follows roads and is very well paved. From Eisenberg to Eiswoog the path quality is significantly worse. In part, it then leads over unpaved forest paths, which in some places are reminiscent of beaten paths. There are also passages and gradients that are covered with uncompacted grit and are therefore very slippery.
My advice:
Every year on October 3rd, the "car-free Eistal" takes place on this route, where you can easily travel this route on the road with the whole family. There are gastronomic offers along the entire route. Compared to comparable events, the "car-free Eistal" is not as crowded. Only in Eisenberg and on the square in front of the Eiswoog is it a bit bumpy.
