Varlar Abbey, often referred to as a monastery, was a Premonstratensian monastery founded by the Counts of Cappenberg in Münsterland. Nice marketplace where you have to take a break

Varlar Castle is a very beautiful castle, but cannot be clearly seen from the main entrance itself. You get a wonderful view a little further from the path branching off to the left.
