Beautiful and well-maintained building; a nice place to rest

The buildings are very attractive. But unfortunately not open to visitors

Körtlinghausen Palace is a real baroque dream. You can look at the facility. The premises are used for events and you can book group tours there. At the Demeterhof Gut Körtlinghausen, which is also on the premises, you can also buy potatoes, grain, rapeseed oil, raw milk and, on request, meat and sausages directly from the farm. Great well-kept castle.

The first written mention of Hamborn comes from the 9th century in a document from the monastery of Corvey. Between 1137 and 1140, Hamborn was donated to the Paderborn cathedral chapter (date of the burnt deed of donation according to the Westphalian document book). The result is the obedience of Hamborn. The origins of the castle go back to two estates that were bought by the von Hartmann family in the mid-19th century and combined into one estate. The family built what is now the east wing of the castle.

Hamborn Castle offers a nice start for hikes in the surrounding area and afterwards you can stop in the cafe and enjoy the delicious cake in picture quality.

Very nicely restored, but privately owned and not accessible.
