Many canal-side cycle paths can be somewhat monotonous; this is not the case with the Ems-Jade Canal. It is interesting, as it offers a lot of variety for the eye.

"Bootje und mehr" is a beautiful resting place run by an enthusiastic group of people. They serve delicious coffee and pastries, and much more. There's also a clean restroom. The nearby swing bridge is also a real attraction. So, stay a while and watch the boats pass by.
