There are several small ponds along the Geiselbach stream.

Fine view of the wide country.. reminds me a bit of the Rhön

There are some lovely, narrow, natural forest paths here, great.

There is a small hidden bench in a "niche" in the forest.

I like this kind of route. Of course, it's not worth going there just for that.

The Rodfeld Oak (also erroneously referred to as the "Red Rock Oak") was an approximately 400-year-old German oak tree that stood on the eponymous Rodfeld, a formerly wooded slope near the Neuses district that was cleared in the 20th century. It is considered a landmark of Freigericht, and specifically of Neuses. The tree, weakened by a fungal infestation that had persisted for years, fell victim to Hurricane Kyrill in January 2007.
