現在の城の敷地には、より古い施設があったと思われます。ハイリゲンクロイツ修道院の設立証書は1136年に遡ります。とりわけ、ユボルト・デ・トリブスウィンケレという証人が挙げられています。最初の要塞は、1120年から1230年頃にウォーターフォートとして建設されたと思われます。この家系は、クロスターノイブルク修道院の写本にも見られます。14世紀前半まで証明されています。後継者としては、ミステルバッハ卿、そして間もなくヴィンデンのヴォルフガングが見られ、彼の家族の元に1527年まで残りました。

We often come here to various exhibitions. Very nice location, vaulted rooms, the tower is also accessible and there is something to see on every floor. There are also parking spaces in front of the castle. But please come by bike or public transport!!! Big old trees in the accessible castle park, all in all an interesting building with an eventful history. Currently owned by the municipality of Traiskirchen.
