The Pfaffstättner Kogel is a popular destination. At its summit are the Klesheimwarte and the Proksch Hütte, both owned by the local group of the Baden Mountain Association. The Klesheimwarte, an iron observation tower, was opened on July 12, 1914 during a heavy thunderstorm with downpours. The platform is at 550m above sea level and offers a wonderful panorama. It is named after the poet Anton Freiherr von Klesheim, who died in Baden in 1884. The shelter was completed in 1930 and is named after Rudolf Proksch, a distinguished official of the Baden Mountain Club. The Rudolf Proksch Hütte, located in the middle of the Vienna Woods, was reopened on May 28, 2017 after two years of general renovation.
