Super beautiful, brand new wooden tower with a view of the Thur and the Thurauen.

The new observation tower in the Thurauen meadows is an architectural eye-catcher and offers fascinating insights into nature. This eye-catcher in the Thurauen meadows is constructed of two types of wood, is 15 meters high, and is well supported.

Unfortunately, the jump no longer exists! It was removed during forestry work.

A much taller and more spectacular wooden tower has stood here since April 2025. The tower itself is worth a hike, as it is very beautiful and blends perfectly into the landscape. From the platforms, you can perfectly observe the animals in the Thurauen meadows.

The inviting wooden structure in the Thurauen nature reserve is ideal for bird watching and offers a beautiful view of the floodplain forest and the lowest section of the Thur before it flows into the Rhine. The tower will be completed on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, but was already accessible today, January 26, 2025. It was built in the last two weeks and replaces the much smaller observation tower. A worthwhile highlight for hikers and bikers in the floodplain forest.
