The stop is worth it! Prices are okay. Very crowded in the afternoon in winter, it's best to stop by early in the morning. 👊👍

Beautiful circular tour from the Winterleitenhütte up and back over the Lavantsee with a wonderful panoramic view at the summit.

The Steinerhütte is the starting point for winter hikes on the Großer and Kleiner Sauofen. With the cozy hut you already have a great destination in mind, which you can head for at the end of the hike.

You can stop here. The Zirbitzsprizz (white wine, soda, pine syrup) is recommended and very refreshing.

A very rustic hut, which is beautifully situated in the countryside. From here you don't see a town or a village, just a lot of landscape, forest and alpine meadows. Overnight stay is recommended. The bunk beds are very neat and have comfortable mattresses. The hostess is very friendly. The cost of an overnight stay in 2022 with breakfast is €21 per person. Cottage is highly recommended.
