Fantastic location, simply super.

Very beautiful and rustic mountain hut with a great view, very good food and extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended for a stopover or overnight stay!

The Bärenbaldalm is self-service. Be sure to try the Kaiserschmarrn 😋

A super cozy hut with a perfect view of the valley and an unobstructed view. The food is excellent and the hut owners are super friendly. The restrooms take some getting used to, as the older and younger guests have to be separated. Unfortunately, this can sometimes cause a rather strong smell. Highly recommended nonetheless!

A beautifully situated hut, which blends almost invisibly into the landscape. From the sun terrace you can occasionally spot daring climbers on the wall of the Lamsenjochspitze.

Very nice location. Classic mountain hut. No hot water, no showers, no charging facilities. Cozy guest room.

... the Karwendel Nature Park is beautiful. At the entrance you pay 4.50 euros “entrance fee” for the car (October 2022). The primary destination at the end of the path is the “Eng Alm” (Hinterriss-Eng 11, 6125 Hinterriss, Austria). If you want to do something for your stomach, legs, buttocks, you can go to this destination by racing bike (on June 3rd, 2018). Because the elevation profile is tough. You may have doubts about your own physical condition. Because it goes uphill, sometimes barely noticeable. The farmer's shop has lots of delicacies (jam, cheese, ham, sausage) that are noticeably different from the "normal" things in the supermarket. A few leisurely/challenging tours are also possible on site: there are various mountains in the immediate vicinity. For eating and drinking, for example: B. in the restaurant “Rasthütte Eng Alm”. The little ones can let off steam in a playground.
