The idyllic Almdorf Eng is located at an altitude of 1,250 meters. Surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Karwendel, you can just linger a moment or stay longer. Up here there are guest rooms, refreshment stops, a farm shop and a cheese dairy. Everything here revolves around life in and with the mountains and despite all the tourist “attractions” this small village has retained its originality.

The picturesque wooden houses at the upper end of the large maple soils are neither a holiday village nor an open-air museum. In summer, the traditional and lovingly tended houses are home to farmers who have brought their cattle to the alpine pastures. In some houses you can stay here and in others you can buy the products directly from the farmer. Below the path to Hohljoch is also a small restaurant.
