The path where the marker is located is actually one of the wider paths in this part of the Barker Heide. (The photos also show the surrounding paths.)

Looking through the bend in the lovely path, you can glimpse the moorland lake. However, leaving the path is forbidden.

At this forest pond, you can observe and hear toads. But be aware that you'll also be plagued by mosquitoes.
