Starting point for many mountain tours

Very busy, very narrow and still: great!

The circular trail is almost 500 metres long and always offers you the perfect view of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch. Information boards along the route provide interesting facts about the largest ice stream in the Alps and the surrounding mountains. The circular trail starts directly at the Eggishorn mountain station.

Finally made the driveway!

The 2,926 meter high mountain is accessible by a cable car and is very popular because of its great panoramic views

I was up there in August and it was freezing wind! Wears more than slippers, t-shirt and shorts!!!

The last sheltered spot before you can hike over the ridge to the Eggishorn.

There was a change of ownership (2021). We happened to meet the former landlords and yak owners there in the summer of 2022, the animals will probably move (or have already). In any case, contrary to the description on the homepage, there is neither yak meat nor herbs from our own garden. Unfortunately, the description has still not been updated. The kitchen has evidently slowed down considerably when I compare my visit with the enthusiastic tales of acquaintances from earlier times. It's okay, but not particularly typical of the region. Of course the location is still great!
