Splügen

An incredibly beautiful place, which we easily reached on foot from Splügen. The hut is not staffed, but can be booked for one night. Drinking water is fetched from the spring by boat... row across the upper Surettasee, enjoy the panorama, and refill your drinking water supplies at the spring... a truly adventurous experience.

The Quarnei hut offers a breathtaking view of the Malvaglia valley. Here, it is possible to taste tasty typical dishes and also stop for the night (there are 58 beds). The hut is also an excellent starting point for excursions to the surrounding lakes and peaks.

Very nice and well-kept hotel and restaurant, celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2022.

An extraordinary experience, fortunately little known....

The Quarnei Hut is located at the foot of the Reinwaldhorn, on a promontory that offers an incomparable view of the Malvaglia Valley. Reachable on foot from the Dagro cable car in 4 hours or from the Cusié car park in 1.5 hours, it is also a starting point for excursions to mountain peaks and lakes of varying difficulty and duration. The hut has 58 beds and offers half board (with delicious typical dishes to enjoy) at affordable prices.
