Great lake with numerous bathing spots 👍 it's worth driving around it, superbly laid out paths

A very beautiful lake. Be careful on the lake circuit, the opposite side of the inn, has stairs/ledges/stone passages (not suitable for strollers) Especially not for wheelchair users.

Always a nice destination. You can drive or hike around the lake.

The circular route on the southern shore of the Hintersteiner See is approx. 2 km long and runs along a path that is partly secured with railings, mostly at the edge of the forest. The turquoise blue water and the view of the massif of the Kaisergebirge (including Scheffauer 2111m) form an impressive alpine backdrop. NOTE: The path repeatedly has significant inclines, appropriate footwear is recommended.
