Not much is left of the ruins. Not surprising, since the building was destroyed more than 600 years ago. The appeal that this place spreads is based on the wonderful vantage points across to the rocks on the opposite side of the valley and to the imposing castle in the north. In addition, this place is ideal for letting time pass by and enjoying life in the sun. If that is too passive for you, you may like to examine the wild hills and chasms that once represented the castle grounds.

From the spur of the Zellerhorn you get a clear view of the pretty castle walls that tower above the Zollerwiese on its witness mountain. Behind it, the land lies flat in awe, until the Black Forest heights tentatively appear in the distance. Between the Zellerhorn and the Zollern you can look for a quiet spot on the meadow under old beech trees to enjoy the view and the moment.
