The Bismarck Tower is located on a steep slope between Schoden and Ockfen on the Moselsteig side path Saar-Riesling-Steig. From here you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Saar Valley, Schoden, Biebelhausen and the Ayler Kupp vineyard.

The official 🆘️ rescue point 6305-437 🆘️ can be found directly at the Bismarck Tower. This is also where the asphalt road from Ockfen ends. There are also benches and tables available for resting.

There are beautiful trails up to the Bockstein. In my opinion, this is the most beautiful section of the Saar-Riesling-Steige and deserves its name. From the top, you have a beautiful view and some great photo opportunities.

From the Maunert summit cross you can also take the route to the Altfelsen. This natural monument is interesting and imposing. Afterwards, a round around the Klausberg to Kastel-Staadt is worthwhile.

Very nice path, especially then down over the Maunert ridge. Although there are more like markings through the rock ... At the summit, the view, rock, nature and bench invite you to enjoy a rest. Tour over here so super awesome.

The Maunert can be reached from the Serriger barrage, from Taben-Rodt or from the hiking car park near Freudenburg. The view towards Serrig or Taben-Rodt is fantastic and the summit area invites you to take a break with a wonderful view. The way to Maunert leads over a ridge path, over stones it almost becomes a climbing part, but is very easy to walk - even for sure-footed children.

The small tourist town of Taben-Rodt is located high above the Saar valley on the border with Saarland, surrounded by beautiful forests. The well-tended and very well signposted hiking trails allow an eventful, hour-long hike through wonderful, sun-drenched forests and rugged rocky landscapes. The Maunert rock path is one of the most beautiful and exciting hikes in this area.
