The Schöller manor (also known as the Schöller Estate and the Schöller Glory) is a former aristocratic residence of the Lords of Schöller in the Schöller district of Wuppertal. The keep and part of the castle wall are the last remaining remains of the former Schoeler manor, which dates back to the late 12th century. "... The Schöller manor is located in the Schöller district of Wuppertal. In 1182 the name Schoeler (the current spelling is “Schöller”) was mentioned for the first time in a document. In the 13th century there was a castle that belonged to the Lords of Schöller. It was in their possession until 1708. The Counts of Schaesberg later became owners of the castle. In the 18th century, Johann Friedrich Bernhard von Schaesberg had the castle dismantled down to the keep. He wanted to use the site to build a new palace complex there. However, because he died prematurely, this palace complex was not built. A later owner had the Schöller estate built. Today only the keep and part of the castle wall remain.
