The Rosengarten Regional Park is a varied local recreation area in the south of Hamburg. The landscape is characterized by the ridges of the Harburg and Black Mountains with their steep climbs, wide views and deep valleys. Heath, moor and farmland as well as the idyllic valley of the Este complete the attractive mix of landscapes. The regional park includes the town of Buchholz in der Nordheide, the joint municipality of Hollenstedt, the municipalities of Rosengarten and Neu Wulmstorf as well as parts of the Hamburg district of Harburg. Always worth a hike

It's funny to get to know Hamburg's highest point.

From the "horse head", the highest hill, you have a great view of the valley. Benches invite you to have a picnic and a large wooded area frames the whole valley.

There are many higher mountains around the world. Nevertheless, it has a special charm.

Super panoramic view. Was here once in the summer when I did the Heidschnuckenweg and again a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the horse's head was pretty full, which is why I only went around because of Corona.
