It's a bit of a strenuous climb, but the view back is worth it. There's even a bench with a trash can.

The mountain is easy to climb, no rope necessary 😉 The park offers good opportunities for nature and social studies.

The Callaberg is more of a hill 😅.

the Callaberg is the “mountain” above the brack of the same name, which was created here in 1702 when the dike broke. It seems to me that the mountain, which is more of a hill, was formed from rubble. Maybe the base is the former dike. In any case, the Callaberg is located in a spacious park that also includes the Callabrack. The Callaberg can hardly be found on the internet. I came across him as part of a HH mountain tour (according to Wippermann's Hamburg mountain guide)

Very nice hiking area with different possibilities.

The toboggan run still exists, but the condition leaves a lot to be desired. As soon as there are three flakes of snow, half of Bergedorf and Wentorf meet here!

The terrain in the Bergedorfer Gehölz is quite steep by northern German standards, as it stretches from the Bille lowlands to the Hohe Geest. The highest elevations are the Fuchsberg on the Wentorf side and the Doktorberg in the Bergedorf part of the forest. Both "mountains" are around 50 meters high. In the 1930s, a 1,000-meter-long toboggan run was built on the Doktorberg, which no longer exists in its original form. However, tobogganing is still done there in winter. The "summit" of the Doktorberg is unfortunately unspectacular.
