You can enjoy a real summit feeling on the 704 meter high Olsberg with its summit cross. From here you have a fantastic view of Bigge, Olsberg and the surrounding Rothaargebirge. You can also discover the Bruchhauser stones. You can relax on various benches and a relaxation panorama lounger after the challenging climb over the cliff path.

Climbing has not been allowed on the four porphyry rocks since the late 1980s (although other areas show how compatibility with nature conservation and peregrine falcon breeding can be organized). Fortunately, nature conservation did not fully prevail, which means that the area is still accessible, at least for hikers (for an entrance fee). On the field stone you can climb up a staircase and enjoy the view.

The Clemensberg is located in the Neuer Hagen nature reserve, also known as the Niedersfelder Hochheide. It is the fifth highest mountain in the Sauerland. The Clemensberg once had a height of 839.2 meters. But the peak of the mountain was removed as part of the diabase mining. Today's summit is to the north-east of the quarry and originally had a height of 837 metres. As part of a reclamation plan, this peak was raised to 840 meters. Today's summit cross is almost 450 meters west of the former summit. From the mountain cross you can enjoy a wonderful view over the natural area of Harfeld to the Rothaarkamm. The up to 90 meters high Bruchhauser stones are a striking landscape symbol of this region and a landscape protection area. All are under strict nature protection, there is only one way up on the field stone with its summit cross.

I was also happy to allow myself entry to the well-tended circular route run by the Bruchhauser Stones Foundation. Would really recommend it. :) You just have to be careful because the app led me across private property, such as the castle courtyard.

The Bruchhauser Stones are freely accessible at all times from all of the surrounding hiking trails. Entrance is only to be paid if you come through the main entrance. In good weather you have a wonderful view here.
