Beautiful waterwheel with a historical background

This building was constructed in 1706, featuring a solid ground floor distinguished by three entrance arches and an artistically sophisticated timber-framed structure with bay windows, rows of curved St. Andrew's crosses, and richly profiled sills. It once belonged to the church's charitable trust (administration of church property) and served as a schoolhouse. An earlier schoolhouse on the same site is documented as early as 1562.

The market square with its half-timbered showcase houses, the Protestant church and the market fountain are all calendar motifs.

A little way from the city center, accessible via a beautiful cycling and hiking path directly along the river.

A large park by the river, right next to the old town. The park was significantly improved for the 2012 State Garden Show and is still very beautiful. It features many walking paths, a swimming pool, plenty of seating, small footbridges over the river, and much more. A great example of how garden shows can have a lasting impact 👍.
