Renaturation for flood protection

In 2019 and 2020, the Eisbach was renaturalized by the municipality of Ebertsheim. Since then, it has not only been a popular excursion destination, but interestingly also serves as flood protection. A small observation tower allows you to admire the whole thing from an elevated position.

Historical building

The first St. Martin's Church was probably built before the year 1000. The St. Martin's Church was first mentioned in documents in 1121. In the 13th and 14th centuries, the Lorraine monastery of Glandern had ownership and patronage rights, and in the 16th century these passed to the Leiningen counts . After destruction in the Reunion Wars, the church was rebuilt and more impressive in 1727. The church, which burned down in 1942 during World War II, was completely rebuilt in 1960.
