Founded around 1000 years ago, the Speyer Cathedral is today the largest Romanesque church in the world and has a correspondingly large cathedral square. From Domplatz you can see the west facade of the cathedral and Maximilianstraße. Very nice!

At the southern end of the Old Bridge is the bridge gate, which is medieval in structure and flanked by twin towers that are 28 meters high. Originally it was integrated into the city fortifications.

Everything has already been said here. But the Schlangenweg (that is the direct connection from the old bridge to the Philosophenweg) should only be used as a footpath, please not with MTB's!
