The climb to Lago di Loppio is ideal for exploring by bike and is particularly popular with sporty cyclists. The route leads from Mori or the Adige Valley along well-paved roads into the gently rolling landscape surrounding the former lake. You gradually gain elevation as you cycle through vineyards, orchards, and typical agricultural landscapes of the Vallagarina Valley. The gradients are mostly moderate, but some sections can be a bit more challenging. Once at the top, a beautiful view of the Lago di Loppio biotope opens up, a wetland rich in flora and fauna, perfect for a break or nature observation. The route combines a sporting challenge with scenic enjoyment.

The Lago di Loppio Biotope is a nature reserve on the former bed of Lake Loppio, which was drained in 1958. A diverse wetland with meadows, fens, limestone cliffs, and forests has developed over approximately 113 hectares, providing a habitat for numerous amphibians, reptiles, and protected bird species. The area is particularly attractive for cyclists: the surrounding area is easy to explore by bike, and the cycle paths offer repeated, beautiful views of the biotope, nature, and the surrounding landscape of the Vallagarina Valley.
