spectacular 14th C monastic Tithe Barn 51 metres long. English Heritage but free to enter

the point at which the Kennet and Avon canal crossed the river and railway line via the Aqueduct built by John Rennie & John Thomas between 1797 and 1801. Good pub here which will reopen summer 2025. This is on the main railway line now becoming a regular (request?) stop since 2011

Iford Manor itself was closed when I walked here, but it was such a lovely walk, I will be heading back to go into the grounds & onwards to visit Farleigh Castle when I have time. There is some really beautiful countryside all around the area, it's worth exploring

The community owned and volunteer run shop is excellent. They sell a great selection of food, drinks and snacks, perfect for an amazing picnic or quick refuel. The café sells well-made and ethically sourced food, cakes and snacks as well as drinks. Nice outside space to sit or a couple of tables inside if the weather isn't so nice. There is also a drinking water fountain outside to fill your bottles. You can park your bike safety within view of the café or lock it to the shops railings. Shop open Mon to Fri 8:00 – 17:00 - Sat & Sun 9:00 – 12:30. Café open Mon to Fri 8:45 – 15:00 – Sat & Sun 9:00 – 12:30.

Lovely little woods with a few stinging climbs & some fast flowing descents. Just watch out for the hidden rocks/roots under the leaves!

The picturesque Iford Bridge spans over the Frome River at the very southern tip of the Cotswolds near Bradford-on-Avon. As you cross the bridge, you can enjoy delightful views up and down the river with surrounding scenes of lush greenery, idyllic countryside, and classic Bath Stone houses.
