The picturesque Cotswold hamlet of Iford straddles the River Frome a few miles Bradford-on-Avon. As well as a colleciton of beautiful Bath Stone houses and cottages, it has a medieval bridge, built in the 1400s. Grade I-listed Iford Manor was home to garden architect Harold Peto at the turn of the 20th century. His Italianate Peto gardens are open to the public, with tea rooms on site for refreshments.

Iford Manor and its famous 2.5 acres of historic gardens sit at the heart of the idyllic Frome River valley accessed by narrow lanes (with passing places).
The tea room has a gazillion choices for tea and some amazing cakes too.
Only slight issue is.... it’s a really steep road either side of it...
