11月 7, 2025, Church of Wustrow
The church tower of Wustrow greets guests and hosts on Fischland, a narrow strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Bodden lagoon, from afar. At the time of its first documented mention in 1235, the Slavic god Swantewit was still worshipped in a temple on the artificially raised hill here. The first church on Fischland was built in the 14th century. At that time, Fischland was still an island. Source: https://www.kirche-mv.de/?id=947&type=0

10月 7, 2025, Born am Darß
Everything has a sense of space and breadth. Even most of the newer houses blend harmoniously with the older buildings. The colorful Darß front doors and gable signs, with their artfully carved ornaments, not only delight the eye but also provide information about the profession and origins of their builders. Spending a holiday in such houses on the Darß creates a very special sense of well-being. With the colorfulness of its houses, the balance of the villagescape, the careful treatment of nature, and the preservation of local architecture, Born is arguably one of the most beautiful villages far and wide. The high degree of sensitivity for the uniqueness and value of the environment is palpable everywhere in Born, the first state-recognized holiday resort in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The 1,300 residents seem to feel at home with one another. People have known each other since ancient times, are often related by marriage and kin. "That takes the edge off the bad word," they say on the Darß. Source: https://www.darss.org/de/

10月 6, 2025, Steilküste bei Ahrenshoop
The High Shore stretches over 3.2 km from the Wustrow pier to the Ahrenshoop border path on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula. The High Shore is a terminal moraine, formed by the Scandinavian ice sheet more than 10,000 years ago and shaped by the ocean surf. This continues to cause constant change in what is known as the active cliff. The annual coastal erosion can reach up to five meters. Nesting sand martins can be observed below the cliff in the high, steep escarpment. The High Shore is ideal for hiking on foot or by bike, and on a clear day, you can even see the Danish mainland from here. The narrow footpath directly along the cliff offers a wide variety of scenery. It leads through small wooded areas, past sea buckthorn bushes and dog roses, the typical vegetation of the area. 10月 5, 2025, View of the Bodden
For a ride along the Bodden near Wustrow, you can take the Baltic Sea Coast Cycle Route, which starts in Wustrow and runs along the Bodden towards Ahrenshoop and Zingst. Another option is the "Great Bodden Tour" or other Bodden circular tours, which pass through the town of Wustrow and often follow well-paved paths along the dike.

10月 5, 2025, Wustrow Beach
Wustrow Beach is located in the west of Fischland. It has a beautiful pier, which is also easily accessible for wheelchair users. The beautiful sandy beach has a very calm and shallow shore thanks to breakwaters, where children can splash around in peace. In summer, you can rent beach chairs or bring your own beach tent. Four-legged friends will also find plenty of space to romp and swim in the dog area. Source: https://www.ostsee24.de/straende/fischland-darss-zingst-wustrow

The previous mill was built in 1884 by Heinrich Niemann. It was equipped with sails for canvas covering and a cod end with which the mill head could be rotated. Pictures by the painters Elisabeth von Eicken and Carl Malchin bear witness to this. From the 1930s onwards, the mill gradually fell into disrepair; two sails had already been torn down. Milling operations were discontinued, the existing technology was later removed, and the mill was finally demolished in the 1960s. Source: https://muehle-ahrenshoop.com/geschichte/
