It doesn't exist in that form anymore... Trees are lying across it (judging by their appearance, they've been there for years) and the trail is overgrown with young trees. Unrideable! The descent is better via the hiking trail...

Chestnut Lake is located on the connecting road between Dresden/Eschdorf and Elbersdorf. It features several small, inviting rest areas, each with its own unique design. Information: Idyllic and well-maintained. Originally a clay pit for brick production, it was later used as a pond for trout farming.

The idyllic Lieblingstal (Favorite Valley) near Dürrröhrsdorf-Dittersbach. Information: The hike through the Lieblingstal is a popular trail that follows in the footsteps of Johann Gottlob von Quandt, leading through the romantic landscape and along the Schullwitzbach stream. The art patron Johann Gottlob von Quandt created this so-called "Lieblingstal," thus making it his "beautified landscape." He lived and worked in the region during the 19th century. The trail is idyllic, following the Schullwitzbach stream, and features monuments, the Hubertus Chapel, numerous information signs, and more. It was reopened in 2006-2007.
