8月 11, 2025, St. Nikolaus Church, Hasenbergl
The red-brick church is designed as a central structure with four semicircular wall shells. Four reinforced concrete columns support the tent-like roof. In the raised center of the church stands the basalt altar on bronze feet. The tabernacle, housed in a bronze column next to the altar, was created by the sculptor Max Faller. The four floor-to-ceiling stained-glass windows depicting the four main feasts of the church year (Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, and All Saints' Day), are the work of the stained-glass artist Hans Dumler, who also created the Stations of the Cross. The basalt baptismal font, featuring the symbol of the Trinity, was created by the sculptor Konstantin Frick. (Wikipedia)

2月 15, 2025, Regattaparksee
The lake was created by the gravel excavation during the construction of the A 99 motorway and the stands of the regatta course from 1972. In high season, thousands of bathers come to the shores of the lake every day. In winter, there is little going on here except for a few dog walkers. A jog from the nearby regatta course will liven up your run a little. https://stadt.muenchen.de/service/info/regattaparksee/10313890/

12月 30, 2024, Evangeliumskirche Hasenbergl
At Stanigplatz in Hasenbergl, there are two large church buildings in close proximity: the Catholic Church of St. Nicholas and our Gospel Church. Both churches were built together with the new settlement at Hasenbergl in the early 1960s. The plans for the Gospel Church were drawn up by the architects Helmut von Werz and Johann Christoph Ottow, who were also involved in the development planning of the settlement. On the first Advent of 1962, the Gospel Church was inaugurated after only eight months of construction. From the outside, the church is surrounded by compact brickwork. However, anyone who enters the church is standing in a shell of light. With its 12-meter-high stained glass windows, the room is reminiscent of a Gothic cathedral. Above the altar, a relief shows Christ on the throne of heaven; the simple, angular shapes are also reminiscent of medieval sculptures. The Gospel Church was originally designed for 7,500 parishioners and had space for 500 churchgoers. Since the congregation now has far fewer members, the church was radically remodeled between 2021 and 2023. The church space was made smaller and three floors were added to the rear. There is now a foyer with an open kitchen, and on the floors above there are various rooms that are used jointly by the parish and the Diakonie Hasenbergl. The renovation of the church is also linked to the project of a Diakonie church - a new meeting place for people in the north of Munich and beyond. Since the renovation, the Gospel Church has been completely barrier-free. Source: https://www.feldmoching-hasenbergl-evangelisch.de/gemeinde/orte/evangeliumskirche

12月 29, 2024, St. Nikolaus Church, Hasenbergl
St. Nicholas is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Munich district of Hasenbergl, Stanigplatz 13. It was built during the Second Vatican Council in the spirit of ecumenism at the same time as the neighboring Protestant Evangelical Church. St. Nicholas in Hasenbergl History Edit The church was built in 1962/63 according to a design by the architect Hansjakob Lill. The foundation stone was laid by the Munich auxiliary bishop Johannes Neuhäusler on June 17, 1962, and the consecration by Cardinal Julius Döpfner on June 23, 1963. The patronage of St. Nicholas was chosen in memory of the St. Nicholas Church, which also belonged to the original parish of Feldmoching and was located north of Hasenbergl in Nieder-Hochmutting and burned down in 1800. The church made of red bricks is designed as a central building with four semicircular wall shells. Four reinforced concrete columns support the tent-like roof. In the raised center of the church stands the basalt altar on bronze feet. The tabernacle in a bronze column next to the altar was created by the sculptor Max Faller. The four floor-to-ceiling colored glass windows depicting the four main festivals of the church year (Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and All Saints Day) are the work of the glass painter Hans Dumler, who also created the Stations of the Cross. The basalt baptismal font with the symbol of the Trinity was created by the sculptor Konstantin Frick. A connecting corridor leads to the free-standing church tower made of exposed concrete. A chapel was built into the base of the tower, which extends to the bell chamber, in which a five-part bronze chime (c1 - es1 - f1 - as1 - b1) was installed by the Erdinger bell foundry. The eight windows of the tower chapel were created by the Munich glass painter Karlheinz Krug. On the top of the tower there is a copper turret tap created by the sculptor Richard Stammberger, which indicates the direction of the wind. The Schleißheim Canal (also called the Dirnismaning Canal in the first section and the Isar-Garching Canal in Oberschleißheim) carries water from the Isar to the Schleißheim Palace complex as part of the North Munich canal system. The canal was built in 1689 by Enrico Zuccalli, the court architect of Elector Maximilian II Emanuel (Max Emanuel for short), to supply water to Lustheim Palace, especially the planned New Palace and the Hofgarten. It was also used to bring in the large quantities of building materials for the construction of the New Palace. Wikipedia
