A beautiful 2.5km long path leads completely around the motorway lake. Numerous benches and sunbathing lawns invite you to linger. A children's playground, barbecue areas, toilets and a beer garden are also on site. Swimming in the lake is possible in summer.

The Protestant Church of St. James in Augsburg is located in the Jakobervorstadt district and is a historic pilgrimage church on the Way of St. James (Camino de Santiago). It was built in the 14th century as a Gothic hall church and was one of the first churches in Augsburg to hold Protestant services (from 1521). After its destruction in World War II, it was rebuilt by 1963. Today, it also offers simple pilgrim accommodation and is the center of the annual St. James' Week and the Jakober Kirchweih, Augsburg's oldest folk festival.
