The lake is easily circumnavigable on foot. There are good forest paths, and from Boltenmühle, a stretch of road. The Rottstiel Bridge is currently under construction, so you can only walk halfway around the lake, or if you're in good shape, you can also take in Lake Zermützsel.

In the Ruppiner Land region, several cycle paths run parallel to forestry roads, which are a joy to ride in the first few years.
