この製粉所は1530年に初めて文書に記録され、元々はリンドウの尼僧院（後にリンドウの貴婦人修道院および役所）に属していました。この地域に残る数少ない水車と風車のひとつです。中世には、ブランデンブルク辺境伯領で最も裕福な修道院のひとつであったこの修道院に仕えていました。 1805年と1846年の火災により施設の一部が焼失しましたが、その後再建されました。現在の2階建ての本館は1848年（または1846年の再建後）のもので、プロイセンの田舎建築の例です。

元々は典型的な水車小屋でした。現在では穀物製粉所としては稼働していませんが、完全な製粉技術（以前はタービン付き）を備えています。約1928/1936年からは電気で稼働しています。保存されている水車（ストロープ式底水車）は、時折、実演のために回転するか、流れの中にあります。

The church tower with its stepped gable dominates the skyline of the second-largest village in the district. The 13th-century fieldstone church, with its striking use of clinker brick, is surrounded by the churchyard. The pillars and pointed arches form an effective structure for the tower. Also worth seeing are the frescoes from the late Gothic and Renaissance periods. The two baptismal angels and the wooden sculptures of the apostles Peter and Paul are noteworthy.
