The large meadow with a playground and a few benches is certainly the most pleasant place to spend time at the Oberpfuhl and in the Lychen town area. The inscription on the memorial is in Russian and German and reads: "1941 - 1945 / Eternal glory to the heroes who fell for freedom and independence in the Great Patriotic War." The monument was last restored between 2002 and 2004.
