Sculptor Günter Kaden on his work "Bathing Fountains" from 2020/21: I love organic forms. They are the forms of the landscape in which I live, the terminal moraines of the Mecklenburg Switzerland. This landscape was created by the tremendous power of several ice ages. What remained were field stones and boulders that the ice had pushed here from Scandinavia. These stones are among my working materials. Before processing, there is a dialogue that corresponds to my way of life: How much can I change? How much do I have to accept? This dialogue is not interrupted throughout the entire work. And when a work is created at the end of this process, I want to share a feeling of happiness with others.

Rheinsberg Castle is located in the municipality of Rheinsberg, about 100 km northwest of Berlin in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district. The castle, located on the eastern shore of the Grienericksee, is considered a prime example of the so-called Frederickian Rococo and also served as a model for Sanssouci Palace. Rheinsberg Castle is very well signposted in Rheinsberg and there are paid parking spaces right at the entrance.

From here you can see the Schlabornsee in the west. The bridge is a simple car bridge with a separate bike lane that you then walk on. To the north you quickly come to Zechlinerhütte (approx. 100m).

You can walk around the lake and there is a lot of variety. Dark forests, wide meadows and pastures, moorland areas, paths and trails, idyllic canal crossings, bathing spots and often a great view of the lake.

Beautiful moorland path with an interesting history/legend. I'm glad that the 100 years are over and I quickly carry on walking. Here in the moorland hollow under the alders it is otherwise pleasantly cool. To the right and left there are traces of burrowing from the pig bath. But there are none to be seen.
