The town hall is the traditional home of the city administration in an imposing building.

The organ, built in 1873, originated in the organ workshop of Adolf Reubke in Hausneindorf in the Harz Mountains. It has 40 stops distributed across three manuals and a pedal. The dispositional changes made over the years were reversed in 1995 during a general cleaning and partial restoration. The organ is the only surviving Reubke organ of its size and is also the largest Romanesque organ of the 19th century in the state of Brandenburg.

It is only a few steps from the old town of Kyritz to a green gem - the rose garden. The small park has been newly designed with a playground, pavilion, rest areas, watercourse, pond, trees, bushes and plants. The landmark is the sculpture "The Wave" by the sculptor Fritz Klimsch.
