Groß Köris is a municipality in the Dahme-Spreewald district of Brandenburg, Germany. It is administered by the Schenkenländchen administrative district. The municipality lies on the Schulzensee, Zemminsee, Großer Moddersee, and Kleiner Moddersee lakes. The village of Klein Köris is situated on the Klein Köriser See lake. Further north within the municipality are the Kleiner Karbuschsee, Großer Karbuschsee, and Diecksee lakes, while to the northwest lie the Buhrsee, Güldensee, and Kleiner and Großer Roßkardtsee lakes. The wooded area northwest of the town center is drained by the Peschkegraben stream, which flows into the Zemminsee lake. Source: Wikipedia

Nice place for a break with many benches on the Dahme

Since 2009, where ferrymen once offered their services, residents and tourists have been able to cross the river on foot or by bike using the pylon cable-stayed bridge. With a length of over 200 meters (span across the Dahme: 45 meters), a 21-meter-high pylon and a width of 2.60 meters, it is one of the largest German cycle and pedestrian bridges. It was only thanks to it that the Dahme cycle path could be realized.

A beautiful place for a quiet walk along the shore of the Klein Köriser See. The paths lead through dense forest and there are few to no visitors, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. At first glance, the bathing area may seem inconspicuous - there is no classic beach or lawn. Instead, you will find natural sections of the shore that are particularly popular with hikers who appreciate the silence and nature. The swampy forest floor and the shady trees make this section ideal for walks in summer. For bathers who are not afraid of a little cold or muddy ground, there are sure to be a few places to jump into the water. For hikers, however, this place is a quiet pearl on the edge of the lake that is worth a visit.

One of my favorite cafes. A tarte flambée is always a hit. The sweet cakes and tarts are also delicious. And there are also options for people with food intolerances.
