You'll encounter a few anglers. If you want shade, head there in the afternoon. That's when the trees provide shade. There's plenty of sun in the morning.

Hardly visible in summer due to overgrowth. A great lost place.

The Berlin-Stettin shipping route (later the Hohenzollern Canal, now the Oder-Havel Waterway) was built by 1912 to provide a direct link between the metropolis of Berlin and the Baltic Sea port of Stettin. The old wooden bridge had to make way for the new "Lehnitzer Bridge". With its elegantly curved steel arches, this bridge met the technical requirements of the time. It was blown up by an SS demolition squad in 1945. The new bridge was only inaugurated shortly before Christmas 1957, after almost two years of construction. The construction work was carried out by the steel construction company "Beuchelt & Co. Könnern (Saale)", known for rebuilding many destroyed bridges in the former GDR. During the first construction phase, the old bridge foundations were demolished and the new substructure was built from reinforced concrete. Initially, only two double-T girders spanned the canal. The actual steel construction of the superstructure was riveted on the Lehnitz side of the river and then pulled to the Oranienburg side. Source: https://www.unser-lehnitz.de/2020/10/5710/

The Grabowsee, located in the middle of the forest between Schmachtenhagen and Friedrichsthal, was considered an insider tip among the numerous bodies of water in Brandenburg. This could be because the bathing area is difficult to reach by car. The area around the small bathing area was extensively renovated in 2021. Heavy rain and erosion had caused the beach area to be repeatedly washed out and roots to be exposed. In order to protect the shore from further slipping, so-called crossbars were built on the edge of the beach area, which are intended to give the embankment more support in the future. The terraced area was then filled with new sand. In addition, the entry area on the shore was renovated and parking spaces for bicycles were created. A DLRG emergency call box was also set up directly on the shore. Source: https://oranienburg.de/Kurzmen%C3%BC/Startseite/Grabowsee.php?object=tx,2967.5&ModID=7&FID=2967.2695.1

On the west side of the Grabowsee, the hiking trail mostly runs close to the shore. If you want to walk around the lake, there is no direct way to cross the Stintgraben. You have to continue walking to the railway embankment of the former line from Oranienburg to Schmachtenhagen and cross the Stintgraben and the Bäke on this. You also cannot walk directly along the lake at the former Grabowsee lung sanatorium. The Malzer Weg takes you to the Grabowsee bridge and back to the lakeside path.

There are several places on the western shore of Lake Grabow where you can get right to the shore and which are even suitable for swimming. This one is located about halfway along the western shore and offers a shallow lake access as well as a somewhat adventurous skipping rope with access from the surrounding trees 😀.
