Trünnensee is a lake in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Trünnensee is located near the village of Neu Canow and the hamlet of Seewalde.

Easy-to-ride, narrow forest path, signposted as a cycle path.

Nice to ride even without gravel

The Trünnensee is one of the clearest lakes in the Mecklenburg small lake district. Completely surrounded by natural forest, with no inflow from outside and fed only by groundwater and rainwater, it is very poor in nutrients. Unfortunately, since anglers have stocked carp there, the nutrient concentration has increased and the visibility depth has decreased. Unfortunately, the strictly protected cactus algae, which relies on the clearest water, is also declining in population!

Very nice opportunity to take a break and enjoy the view. Recommended!

From the small hill you have a beautiful view of the lake. A bit restricted by the trees in summer.

The many photos of the broken jetty are probably outdated - today (2023) the jetty and rest area are in tip-top order. A beautiful clear lake.
